About Rotary Cleadon and District

Rotary Cleadon and District was admitted to Rotary International on the 24th. November 1988 and  held its inaugural Charter meeting on the 27th. February 1989. The Club was sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of South Shields, Jarrow, Harton and Whitley Bay.

We fulfil our purpose and achieve our goals thanks to the dedication of our members.

At Rotary we have the unique position of being rooted with our own communities but with a global outlook, ready to tackle challenges at home and abroad.

Cleadion and District Rotary Club have recently been awarded a Presidential Citation for outstanding achievement in the year 2019-20.

Who can join?

We are looking for people who want to give back to their communities.

You must be aged 18 or over to become a Rotary member.
